Uses

Interference Check is a very useful tool built into the Revit software. It can be used to find clashes between all objects as long as each file was created in Revit. Whether it is a desk and a wall or a return pipe clashing with a bus duct, Revit can find the clash and report it to the operator.

To use the Interference Check within Revit, go to the drop down menu Tools>Interference Check>Run Check as in ''figure 1''. The Interference Check window will appear. The window has the option to select between each different type of item to run the detection against. For instance, if the file has walls, furniture, light fixtures, roofs, and floors it will have the option to run the check between any of them or all of them (see figure 2).

Interference Report

Once the categories have been selected and the check is ran, a new window will appear (see figure 3). This new window allows the operator to see all of the individual clashes between the selected categories.
